Gar nichts :D :D They only say that the cars are as quicks as the V8 star. The idea from this serie comes from Hub Maessen, somebody who is involved in the dutch "short oval scene" in places like Posterholt and Venray. Both very close to the german border. By accident I saw the car myself on the 25th july this year at Zolder, it's first roll out on a normal roadcircuit. Today, 4th january 2004, the car has it's first race at Zandvoort in the Dutch Winter Endurance Championchip. Results? I keep you informed......... Plans for 2004? At this moment a lot of rumours is going around, most of them caused by Maessen himself. Then he says the MWV6 Series will be a part of the Belgium Supermeetings (Belcar, Clio etc.) , then he says they will mainly run at the short ovals.................. Other series? Depends on the organiser ;) Belcar: No way, only silhouettes that are allowed there are French Supertourisme and former Belgian Procars. (like the Mondeo silhouette this year) VLN, Divinol? Don't know, I don't know the technical rules of those series very well. But these silhouettes are very fragile, a V8-star looks like a tank compared to these MWV6 cars ;) Until 16.00 hours 04-01-04 you can follow the race live via Media Dateien und klickbare Links in Beiträgen und Signaturen sind nur für registrierte Mitglieder verfügbar!! So zumindest hab ich deutschsprachige Medien verstanden ::) |

About this MWV6 series, I have to see it before I believe it. Maessen, the man behind this serie, has also plans to build a Super Oval in Germany ::) No not the one in Neuss, but a new one at the Airport Niederrhein. Don't believe all that is written ;) |

Beitrag von Zandbak am 05.01.04 um 17:26:37 After the race yesterday the man behind the series had some news for the season 2004: - a race at the Nürburgring, 100 % sure ;) - a race at Assen, almost sure - 3 or 4 meetings during the RACB Supermeetings in Belgium, they were asked by the RACB ::) It isn't possible to buy a car, only Rentals :) Didn't know that Hertz was in rcaing ;D Price per race: 2375 Euro per race, with sealed engine, diff and gearbox. The price doesn't include running costs, like fuel, tyres.......and possible damage. Specs: *Engine: 4.0 liter V6, 285 bhp at the moment........plan is to upgrade 325 bhp before the season. *Weight: 850 Kg / 875 Kg. *Gearbox: sequential *Rear wheel driven source: Media Dateien und klickbare Links in Beiträgen und Signaturen sind nur für registrierte Mitglieder verfügbar!! Es scheint gross in Mode zu kommen, im Rahmen einer Rennveranstaltung auf dem Nürburgring ein Demorennen zu veranstalten. Wenn noch ein paar andere Rennen Wirklichkeit werden, wirds ein interessantes Rahmenrennen Jahr ;) Zitat:
